GPS technology drives the search facility on our website, and to get the most out of the technology, to give us very precise GPS co-ordinates – we use what3words to generate the information around the locations of Artworks.
It’s truly portable in the form of an app via your smartphone, all you have to do when you’re out in the field, painting, drawing & sketching – open the app and make a note of the location, either as a physical make on the back of the canvas or inside the app as a bookmark.
Once you have this, you can attribute the what3words location to your artwork via our website – and what’s more, anyone can find it using our search tool. This is why we use it, so simple and free to use.
